Shift Information: Days, Weekends, Standby

Number of Hours per Rotation: 14 shifts of 12 hours per 4 weeks

Relief: No

Hours of Work: EMS Hours

Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572

Travel Required: No

Responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service, providing Advanced Life Support, initial assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons in accordance with Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Emergency Health Services Basic and Advance Life Support Protocols, and organization policies and procedures. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Licenses

  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C Certificate (CPR)
  • Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level
  • GAP training to NOCP 2011 Standards
  • Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider (Level C) - Heart and Stroke
