Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572

Travel Required: No

The Emergency Medical Technician-PCP is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
  • Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting

  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
  • Clean Driver's Abstract

  • Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
