
Regions Hospital has a full-time opportunity for an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Clinical Supervisor to join our team!
The EMS Clinical Supervisor will provide 3rd party independent medical direction supervision from the Office of Medical Director to the administration and operations personnel of EMS Agencies under Medical Direction or agreements with Regions Hospital EMS.The supervisor serves as a designee of the Medical Director and as such is an EMS resource, training provider, quality improvement provider, and advocate for the department and patient care.The position involves day, evening and weekend activities.
Job Duties:
Develops and conducts EMS Education
Provides point of care oversight to line personnel
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Five years of experience as an advanced level pre-hospital care provider (paramedic or above) with direct patient care responsibilities
Previous work with public/private EMS agencies
Previous experience as a clinical or EMS educator
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
State of MN certification as a Paramedic and/or licensure as an emergency/critical care nurse.
Possesses a current valid MN or WI driver’s license with a clean driving record containing no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2-year period.
Successful completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course required prior to or within 6 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic and advanced emergency and/or pre-hospital patient care
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field
Previous experience with EMS leadership, team development, or in a leadership role.
Critical Care
Tactical medicine
Fire ground operations
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
DOT EMS instructor certification
AHA Instructor certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic NIMS training: ICS-100, IS-700.A, IS-800.B
Public speaking to various groups
Mentoring/precepting students or new hires
Computer proficiency including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
