Job Description

Examples of Basic Tasks and Duties

The following are examples of work performed for positions in this job class, and are not intended to reflect the essential functions of any one position. The essential functions of each individual position are determined and maintained by each individual department.

Assists in emergency responses to all types of emergencies and disasters when needed.

Operates various computer systems and specialized instruments in the Emergency Operations Center.

Assists Property Clerk with inventory.

Works with county volunteer fire service when needed.

Must be able to operate trucks, trailers, large apparatus, boats, ATV’s and forklift.

Keeps supply and storage warehouse clean, neat and orderly.

Maintains and cleans emergency response vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness.

Maintains all required certifications and training.

May have to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and three (3) years experience in emergency response

AND

Meet all Emergency Management Performance Grant requirements within one (1) year of employment

Starting Salary

$14,940
