This position resides in the Ministry of Hospital & Surgical Health Services under the Acute Care Division, within the Emergency Health Services Branch, Regulatory Compliance Unit.
The Emergency Health Services (EHS) Specialist serve as a key member of the Emergency Health Services (EHS) Branch by implementing policies, enforcing regulatory standards, conducting compliance monitoring, and providing subject matter expertise to support safe, effective, and innovative emergency health services across Alberta.

University Degree in a related field EMS, Public Safety, Medical, Reg. Health Provider, plus four (4) years related experience.
Equivalency: Diploma related to the position assignment and six (6) years of related experience. Must be a regulated member an applicable college as specified in the Health Professions Act. Master’s degree related to the position assignment and three (3) years of related experience.
Primary Care Paramedic applicants must have completed a diploma-level credential or higher in a related field before applying to meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
*Registered paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics OR current registration in good standing with an Alberta professional college.
Preference will be given to the following individuals:

This position requires provincial travel with primary offices located in Edmonton and Calgary.
A written assessment may be used as part of the screening/selection process.
