The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Relations Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for patients and families, providing proactive support, communication, and service recovery throughout the Emergency Department. This role partners closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to remove barriers to care, enhance communication, and create a welcoming, compassionate patient experience while supporting efficient department operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) years of prior experience in customer service or related field required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Minimum two (2) years in acute care or ED setting preferred.
Some experience with EPIC preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association preferred.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Knowledgeable in key tenants of patient experience and service recovery.
Core Competencies in patient-centered care, compassionate communication, service excellence, emotional intelligence, de-escalation, collaboration, accountability, and integrity.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $31.82 - $38.18.
Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
