We’re looking for a Regional Tax Manager – Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA)

The EMEA Regional Tax Manager, based in Versoix, Switzerland, is responsible for leading and overseeing all tax matters across the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws, optimizing the regional tax position, managing tax risk, and supporting business strategy through effective tax planning and governance. Reporting to the Senior Director of International Tax the role offers the opportunity to work on complex tax projects and acts as the primary tax advisor to regional leadership and key business stakeholders. as well to contribute to the financial success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Tax Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead strategic tax initiative in EMEA, in alignment with global tax objectives and business priorities.
  • Serve as the senior tax advisor for EMEA leadership, providing guidance on tax implications of business decisions, restructurings, investments, and transactions.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across the region and assess business impact.
  • Partner with global tax team to develop and implement tax-efficient structures for new business and existing operations in EMEA.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all corporate income tax, withholding tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and statutory reporting obligations across EMEA.
  • Oversee accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and related documentation, accordance with local standards.
  • Provide strategic oversight of VAT and other indirect taxes across the region.
  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place to manage indirect tax compliance and risk.
  • Maintain a robust tax control framework and support internal and external audits.
  • Support EMEA tax accounting and reporting processes, including quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provisions, uncertain tax positions (FIN48), ETR rate analysis, disclosures...

Tax Planning & Risk Management

  • Optimize tax efficiency through planning, modeling, and structuring of operations and transactions.
  • Manage tax risks, including audits, inquiries, and disputes with tax authorities
  • Lead tax controversy strategy and define strategies to appropriate defend the Company position

Transfer Pricing & International Tax

  • Partner with the Global Transfer Price team ensuring compliance with Corteva’s transfer pricing policies, OECD guidelines and local documentation requirements.
  • Support intercompany pricing, supply chain changes, and business model transformations.
  • Partner with global tax on BEPS, Pillar Two, and other international tax initiatives.

Business Partnering & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Treasury, Supply Chain, HR, and Business units.
  • Support M&A activities, integrations, and restructurings from a tax perspective.
  • Translate complex tax matters into clear, actionable guidance for non‑tax stakeholders.

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and develop a diverse regional tax team, fostering high‑performance, expertise in local regulations and international tax principles.
  • Manage relationships with Swiss and EU tax authorities, external advisors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to global tax initiatives and best‑practice sharing.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA with a focus on Taxation is highly preferred.
  • Typically 12–15+ years of progressive tax experience, including significant EMEA exposure.
  • Strong background in international corporate tax, transfer pricing, and controversy across EMEA
  • Strong working knowledge of EU tax directives and regulations (e.g., ATAD, DAC, interest limitation, hybrid rules), Swiss Tax law, BEPS, Pillar 2
  • Experience in multinational corporations and/or Big 4 firms.
  • Proven leadership experience managing diverse, multi‑country teams.
