We are currently seeking a Rack Product Manager to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo (BO),Italy!

The Rack Product Manager is responsible for the lifecycle management of server rack solutions, enclosures, and physical infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of hardware engineering, supply chain, and data center operations. You will define the roadmap for several product families, ensuring that the structural, cooling, and power distribution requirements of modern high-density computing (such as AI and GPU clusters) are met.

What kind of work will you be doing?

Product Family Qualification and Road Mapping:

  • Define and maintain an accurate roadmap of all the rack product families of
  • your competence.
  • Analyze specific regional demand in EMEA and benchmark it with current rack
  • offering. Develop proposals for rack optimizations or new developments

Product Documentation and Engineering:

  • Collect and maintain all relevant documentation related to each product
  • family.
  • Create and maintain consistent product description across all Vertiv PLM and
  • sales tools.

Product Launch:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver a complete set of assets per
  • product family, in collaboration with global team
  • Support marketing launch of each new product family with market analysis
  • and thought leadership contributes

Product Management & Innovation:

  • Develop and apply product management skills, assisting with market
  • research, requirements gathering, roadmap development, and stakeholder
  • communication for various software and hardware initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous engineering innovation through out-of-the-box
  • thinking and propose experimental plans for new technologies or processes.

Sales Enablement

  • Develop, test, and maintain - in collaboration with the Engineering team - rack configuration tools to improve sales enablement.
  • Develop proper strategy for price positioning across all product families, to optimize rack positioning in EMEA for direct and indirect channels.
  • Develop and maintain – in collaboration with the Vertiv Academy - a complete set of value propositions and training materials for application engineers, sales, and partners.

Sales Operations

  • Elaborate and maintain - in collaboration with the EMEA Sales Operations – a demand plan for the next 12 months, based on the growth ambition.
  • Improve sales margins through sales pricing request (SPR) approval process.

This role is designed for a professional with at least 5 years of experience in a comparable role, actively pursuing new opportunities, and you'll have the opportunity to apply and further develop these skills:

  • Technical Aptitude / Product Knowledge: Translate technical details into specs.
  • Understand system characteristics. Knowledge of regional norms and regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Communication:Clearly articulate product vision, requirements, and value to Engineering, Sales, and Leadership (Documentation, Sales Enablement, Product Launch).
  • Data Analysis & Business Acumen: Used to data analytics (metrics, market research, performance) to set strategy, prioritize task, and define roadmaps (Qualification, Road Mapping, Innovation).
  • Strategic Thinking: Defining the product vision, identifying market opportunities, and prioritizing features for maximum impact (Qualification, Road Mapping, Innovation).
  • Project / Program Management: Driving execution, coordinating teams, and managing the timeline for launches and new feature development (Product Launch, Operations).
  • Customer & User Empathy: Familiar with customer pain points, procurement behaviors, and VOC (Voice of Customer). Ability to translate their needs into clear requirements (Innovation, Sales Enablement, Management).
  • Technical Writing & Documentation: Creating clear, accurate, and easy-to [1]understand product specifications, guides, and collaterals (Documentation, Sales Enablement).
  • Process Optimization: Identifying and improving internal workflows and operational efficiencies related to product delivery and support (Operations).
  • Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze and identify complex problems, conduct research, and propose effective solutions.
  • Professional & Interpersonal Skills: Awareness of team management, economic and business management principles, ethical considerations, and the ability to work in intercultural environments.
  • Language: Good command of English (written and oral). Other languages are a plus
