Job Description

The EMEA Event Manager (m/w/d) plays a key role in planning, shaping and delivering high-impact brand and customer experiences across Dematic’s EMEA event ecosystem. Working at the intersection of event management, brand activation, campaign execution and customer engagement, this role ensures that Dematic’s business-critical events, trade fairs, webinars and customer-facing formats create measurable value across the Customer Journey.

Reporting into the regional/global marketing organization, you will work closely with Field Marketing Managers, Commercial teams, Global Brand, Content, Creative, Digital, Product, Solutions and Lifecycle Services teams, as well as the global Event Manager network and the wider KION Event Manager Community including Linde, STILL and KION.

You will be responsible for leading EMEA Tier 1 events and business-critical fairs — including key formats such as LogiMAT — from strategic planning and creative concept development through to execution, stakeholder coordination, budget control, lead handling and post-event reporting. The role combines strong project management with creative and experiential thinking, ensuring that every event is not only well executed, but also acts as a high-quality brand and lead magnet for Dematic.

In addition to physical events, this role also supports the planning and delivery of digital Tier 1 events, webinars and virtual customer engagements across EMEA, working closely with Field Marketing Managers to ensure campaign alignment, customer relevance and consistent brand execution across physical and digital touchpoints.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, collaborative and proactive event professional with strong stakeholder management skills, experience in corporate trade fairs, and the ability to turn complex solutions into engaging, scalable and reusable event and showcase concepts.

On an interim basis, this role reports to the Global Brand Communications & Experiential Lead.

Tasks:

Lead EMEA Tier 1 Events and Business-Critical Fairs

Plan,coordinateand execute major EMEA trade fairs, customereventsand business-critical event formats, including flagship events such asLogiMAT, ensuring strong brand presence, operationalexcellenceand measurable customer impact.

Develop EMEA Event Plans and Campaign Activations

Support the development and implementation of annual EMEA event plans and event-related campaign activations, aligned with businessobjectives, regionalprioritiesand global brand strategy.

Create High-Quality Lead and Brand Magnets

Ensure events are designed to attract,engageand convert the right audiences by combining customer-centric storytelling, strong brand experiences, relevant solutionshowcasesand clear lead-generation pathways.

Drive Experiential and Technical Showcase Concepts

Develop innovative event, booth andshowcaseconcepts that bring Dematic’s solutions, software,servicesand customer value to life. Focus on scalable and reusable formats that can be adapted across other EMEA events and regional activations.

Partner with Field Marketing Managers Across EMEA

Work closely with EMEA Field Marketing Managers to creatively prepare,coordinateand execute digital and physical event campaigns, including local fairs, webinars, customerengagementsand regional event formats.

Own Event Project Management from Concept to Execution

Lead event planning with clear project structures, timelines, milestones, stakeholderresponsibilitiesand execution plans. Ensure all workstreams are managed proactively, transparently and with strong attention to detail.

Manage Stakeholders, Training and Cross-Functional Alignment

Act as a central coordination point for internal stakeholders, agencies, suppliers, Field MarketingManagersand commercial teams. Provide guidance, training and best-practice sharing to support consistent, high-quality event execution acrossEMEA Run regular steering meetings with internal and external stakeholders, produce concise status updates and dashboards for senior stakeholders, and proactively escalate risks and issues with recommended mitigations and owner assignments

Coordinate with Global and KION Event Networks

Collaborate with the global Dematic Event Manager network and the KION Event Manager Community, including Linde, STILL and KION, to align standards, share learnings andidentifyopportunities for scalable event concepts.

Manage Event Budgets and Supplier Relationships

Create,manageand track event budgets, including forecasts, actuals,invoiceand cost control. Manage supplier relationships, support procurementprocessesand negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality delivery.

Oversee Event Logistics and Lifecycle Delivery

Coordinate pre-eventlogistics, shipping, customs, booth materials, mechanical or technical showcases, build-up,breakdownand on-site delivery across EMEA locations.

Lead Digital, Webinar and Virtual Event Formats

Support the planning and execution of webinars, virtualeventsand digital customer engagement formats, ensuring strong messaging, smooth delivery, leadcaptureand brand consistency.

Manage Post-Event Reporting and Lead Handling

Oversee post-event reporting, event insights, leaduploadsand performance documentation. Ensure leads are accurately captured, uploaded intoCRMordesignatedsystems and connected to follow-up processes.

Support Event Programmes and Executive Moments

Coordinate wider event programmes such as press conferences, product launches, customer evening events, speaker sessions, executivemeetingsand partner activations, working closely with local and global teams whererequired

Qualifications:

SkillsRequired

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, DigitalDesignor a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B event managementin EMEA, preferably across international or EMEA markets

  • Proven ability to manage budgets of €100 - 800K+, build and run detailed project plans, and ensuretimelystakeholder communications. Candidates must providereferences from recent event projects.

  • Experience in corporate trade fairs, business-critical fairs, customereventsand complex stakeholder environments

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, suppliers, milestones and multiple workstreams under pressure

  • Experience in campaign-related event planning, including digital events,webinarsor virtual customer engagement formats

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across regional,globaland cross-functional teams

  • Experience working with Field Marketing, Commercial, Brand, Content, Creative, Product or Solutions teams

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and structured way of working

  • Creative mindset with a strong eye for brand alignment, customerexperienceand visual event quality

  • Experience in experiential concept development, technical showcases or reusable booth/showcase formats is a strong plus

  • Experience with eventlogistics, booth build-up and breakdown, shipping,customsor technical materials across Europe is beneficial

  • Confident communicator with the ability to guide, train and align stakeholders

  • Strong supplier and agency management skills, including briefing,coordinationand contract negotiation

  • Budget management experience, including forecast tracking, actuals reporting and cost control

  • Fluent Englishrequired

  • German language skills are a strong advantage

  • Willingness to travel regularly across EMEA for events, planning meetings and on-site delivery
