These positions serve as front-line operators for OG&Es technology and security environment. They monitor physical security, network, IT, and operational systems for alarms, outages, security events, and other abnormal conditions. When something happens, they're responsible for being the first set of eyes on the issue, quickly determining what is happening, following established procedures, troubleshooting where appropriate, and escalating the event to the right teams. Core Responsibilities Monitor security, network, IT, and operational systems for alarms and events. Perform initial triage and troubleshooting of technology and security issues. Respond to alarms using established incident and escalation procedures. Create, track, update, and escalate incident/work tickets. Investigate physical-security events using CCTV, access-control systems, and available system data. Support badge/access management and visitor-management activities. Monitor outages and potential service disruptions. Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, actions, and outcomes. Communicate clearly during active incidents and handoffs. Follow established cybersecurity, operational, and compliance procedures. Become proficient in either Security Operations or IT Systems, while remaining cross-trained across the broader operational environment.

What the Right Person Looks Like This is an early-career operations role, but OG&E still needs someone capable of operating calmly and consistently in an environment where missing or mishandling an alert can matter. Ideal profile: Strong troubleshooting mindset Comfortable monitoring multiple systems simultaneously Able to distinguish routine alerts from issues requiring escalation Strong attention to detail and documentation Comfortable working from established procedures/runbooks Clear written and verbal communicator Customer-service oriented Familiarity with: o Network and communications infrastructure o Windows and Microsoft tools o Physical access control / visitor-management systems o Event and service-management platforms such as IBM Tivoli Netcool and BMC Remedy, or comparable tools o NERC environments/regulations Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or Cisco networking credentials would complement relevant experience.
