Embroidery and Heat Press Operator - GOEX Warehouse: Kansas City, MO
In this part-time role, you are passionate about using ethical commerce to strengthen families and empower communities. You understand that fair wages, safe working conditions, and responsible business practices can transform lives—helping workers provide for their families and thrive in their communities. Your strengths in embroidery and design—combined with your ability to oversee embroidery machines—allow you to advance GOEX’s mission: creating products that uphold dignity, fairness, and opportunity while delivering excellence to customers.
Your Responsibilities Include
Operate embroidery machines to produce accurate, high-quality designs
Set up, monitor, and maintain embroidery machines, including thread changes and basic troubleshooting
Operate a heat press for apparel and accessory decoration
Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
Follow production schedules and meet deadlines
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Communicate any equipment issues or supply needs to leadership
Additional duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills, You Bring to the Organization
Resident of Kansas City, MO
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in embroidery / apparel
Previous experience with Melco embroidery machines and heat press equipment preferred
Proficient with Melco commercial embroidery machines. Knowledge of Hotronix heat presses.
Strong attention to detail and quality
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the workday.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and humidity.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment: Melco commercial machines and Hotronix heat presses.
Manual dexterity to handle products and materials with accuracy and care.
