Job Description

The interior shop truck driver responsible for transporting the aircraft parts between Lavergne and Nashville, Tennessee.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Safe Transportation: Ensure that aircraft parts are safely and securely transported from one location to another, following all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
2. Loading and Unloading: Assist with or oversee the loading and unloading of aircraft parts (Racks), ensuring that they are handled carefully to avoid damage.
3. Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including those specific to the transportation of aircraft parts, such as hazardous materials regulations if applicable.
4. Vehicle Inspection: Perform regular inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
5. Communication: Maintain open communication with your leads, Stores personnel, and other Leads at BNA to ensure smooth and efficient transportation operations.
6. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure that the parts are transported in a manner that prevents damage or contamination.
7. Accuracy: Ensure that the correct Racks are delivered to the right hangar and right bay, double-checking delivery details to avoid any mistakes.
8. Racks maintenance: During downtime you need to get with your leads they may ask you to maintain the racks to ensure that they are in good working condition, or they may ask you to
9. Assist with general housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping the floor or organizing the workspace, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education: High School/GED

Driver’s license required

Good Driving record that will be verified

Must be 21 to drive the company owned vehicles

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Assignments require basic knowledge of a technical or functional area.

· Rapid learning and application of new information and concepts within the functional area takes place. Work assignments are under general supervision.

· Some independent judgment is exercised within clearly recognized standards of work.

· Inputs are reviewed regularly identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate action to solve basic issues.

· Maintenance techniques related to painting, repairing interior racks.
