Description

Apple’s Cellular Software team is seeking talented, highly motivated Engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves identifying, design and/or developing core cellular technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. We are passionate about keeping our users connected 24/7 wherever they go. This team takes pride in not just coming up with proven software designs but also in disrupting traditional models of the cellular ecosystem. We do whatever it takes to bring user experience to the next level.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of 3GPP 5G/4G Layer 1 Control such as (RACH, Scheduling request, SRS, CSI, DRX)

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

Good understanding of RF antenna characteristics (antenna efficiency, isolation, gain) and how they feed into transmit and receive antenna selection decisions.

Working knowledge of uplink power control, including power headroom, maximum power limits and regulatory power backoff, and how these constraints affect link performance.

Strong background in algorithm design and development with the ability to turn system-level requirements into efficient and deterministic solutions suitable for real-time embedded environments.
