About the MBBU:
The MBBU (Mobile Broadband Business Unit) is a unique and dedicated group within Ceva, driving innovation in Communications and Modem solutions for edge devices on both Mobile Phones (UE) and the Base stations side (gNB).
Our software team develops code for Ceva Vector DSPs, Controller DSPs and Ceva various accelerators for 4G and 5G 3GPP communications standards. We develop L1 Control layer for easy integration with Mobile phone protocol stack layer and base station control units
We combine cutting-edge hardware IP design with embedded software and system-level solutions, enabling the next generation of intelligent and energy-efficient devices on earth and out in space.
About the Role:
In this role, you will learn and deeply understand the 5GNR Modem fundamentals and 5GNR physical layer. You will become part of a team who develops and optimizes the modem code, the simulation tools of the entire Modem, the verification and automation environments for continuous SW verification and you will help us to get our product to perfection.
In addition, you will work closely with our customers, supporting them, and helping them use our products. Inside Ceva you will work closely with the VLSI group and the SDT tools group in order to get the Modem SW to its best performance.
Responsibilities:
You will develop features for 5G Modem SW in both Uplink side and Downlink side for the mobile device and for the base station HW platform.
You will be responsible to develop testing environment for your modules and you will test them on SW simulation, RTL environment and FPGA for full functionality
· B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
· Fluent English both verbal and written is a MUST
· 2 years of hands-on C or C++ software engineering
· Experience in developing embedded software systems
· Independent and self-motivated
Advantage:
· Knowledge in 3GPP 4G or 5G standards (LTE and 5GNR) , or any other wireless communication standard
· Knowing Ceva Cores and IDE
· Experience in C/C++ programming in Linux environment
· Experience in Python and AI tools
