We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Development Engineer with experience in real-time embedded software development to lead requirements, design and development activities of safety-critical airborne systems.
The ideal candidate will be capable of receiving systems requirements and able to guide the development lifecycles to satisfy DO-178 objectives. This individual will provide technical leadership across development activities as well as provide input to certification and verification teams.
Location: The role can be onsite (CT), hybrid, or fully remote.
Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline.
Strong experience in embedded software development.
Applicable hands-on 7+ years of experience with real-time embedded systems.
Strong understanding of:
o Real-Time Embedded Systems (RTES)
o Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
o Safety-critical software development
o C/C++ or similar embedded languages
o Python and other equivalent scripting languages
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.
Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
U.S. Citizenship is required. Dual citizenship should be disclosed.
Able to travel approximately up to four weeks in a year.
