We are looking for a motivated and open-minded Intern Embedded Software Developer to join our DAS EMEIA KDC engineering team. This is an entry-level position designed especially for final-year university students.
You will work on firmware development for embedded devices. The role will mainly involve supporting the development and validation of new concepts and prototypes, followed by contributing to their evolution into production-ready products.
Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages is a strong advantage, especially for developing tools, automating workflows, and validating concepts or prototypes.
If you enjoy making LEDs blink while running sophisticated cryptographic protocols, figuring out why something almost works, and writing clean low-level code - you’ll fit right in!
What You’ll Be Doing
Writing embedded C code for real hardware
Developing firmware in both RTOS (Zephyr) and bare-metal environments
Debugging with logic analyzers
Collecting performance statistics from hardware
Writing small python tools to automate work and process data
What You Should Know
How to write C for microcontrollers
Theory of microcontrollers operation
Principles of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C)
Understand source code management concepts like git
Some python for scripting and tooling
Who You Are
Open-minded and eager to learn
Not afraid to ask questions
Interested in exploring more about cryptography
Comfortable reading datasheets
Excited about low-level systems
You’ve built something (personal or academic project counts)
Comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken
No prior job experience required - we care more about curiosity and mindset than years on paper.
What We Offer
Mentorship from experienced embedded engineers
Hands-on work with real hardware products
Opportunity to grow into mid-level embedded developer
Supportive and innovation-driven work environment
