At Vitrolife, we're seeking a skilled Embedded Software Developer to take ownership of firmware development within our multidisciplinary team. You’ll be the key driver for embedded software excellence—expertly developing firmware with Zephyr and C++, while bridging the gap between software applications and our advanced hardware solutions. This role suits someone who thrives independently and enjoys steering their technical area, especially at the critical interface where hardware meets software. Develop firmware for integrated hardware and medical device applications
Drive embedded software architecture and implementation, particularly using Zephyr and C++
Execute hardware bring-up and integration
Act as the primary link and bridge builder between software applications and hardware development teams
Take proactive ownership of your technical domain and initiate improvements
Support regulated development processes and contribute to overall product quality
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent
5+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably with hardware integration
Strong knowledge of Zephyr and C++
Experience in hardware bring-up
Bonus: Experience with C# application development.
Bonus: Experience with digital signal processing
Previous exposure to regulated environments (e.g., medical device standards) highly valued
Proven ability to bridge software and hardware development, collaborating effectively across disciplines
Experience with our tools and environments is a bonus: Linux, WSL, Github and Github actions, Jira
Proficiency in English; Danish proficiency is a plus
