About this Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Linux Platform Engineer to join our product development team. The role focuses on Linux platform development, kernel maintenance, Yocto-based build systems, device driver development, and platform enablement for advanced networking and embedded systems products.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Linux kernel internals, hardware-software integration, open-source software maintenance, and embedded platform debugging across ARM64 and x86_64 architectures.
What you will do
• Regularly upgrade open-source software packages via the Yocto project to address security vulnerabilities and patches.
• Regularly upgrade Linux kernel versions to meet product security requirements.
• Develop and maintain device drivers for hardware peripherals, including PCIe, USB, eMMC, Ethernet, GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART, and custom FPGAs/ASICs.
• Design and maintain Device Tree (DTS/DTB) descriptions to accurately represent hardware platform configurations.
• Select and maintain appropriate kernel configurations for target products.
• Integrate and maintain third-party kernel patches and vendor-provided kernel modules.
• Optimize system performance and latency to meet product requirements.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system and platform issues arising during open-source software and Linux kernel upgrades.
What you will bring
Required Experience – 4 to 7 years

• Programming language – C / C++
• Solid understanding of the Yocto/BitBake build system
• Solid understanding of ARM64 and x86_64 CPU architectures
• Solid understanding of hardware buses and protocols, including PCIe, eMMC, NAND Flash, Ethernet, GPIO, I2C, SPI, and USB
• Solid understanding of Device Tree (DTS/DTB) descriptions for hardware platforms
• Solid understanding of the Linux OS boot procedure
• Solid understanding of the Linux driver model, memory management, and task scheduling.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field
• Relevant experience in Embedded Linux platform development and kernel engineering.
