As an Embedded Hardware Engineer you will be responsible for research and development of electronic devices on electronic hardware level. During that process you will cooperate with people from other departments and units like embedded software engineers, mechanical engineers, designers, purchasing, quality and others in common goal to deliver high performance, reliable, optimized and groundbreaking ECUs for Bugatti automotive projects.
Working across electrical engineering domain, you will develop high-end automotive ECUs, ensuring high quality, custom solutions for future Bugatti and Rimac vehicles

Where you’ll make an impact
Participating in ECU requirement definition and feasibility studies
Participating and assisting in system engineering on device level and beyond, including selection of specific components, thermal and mechanical considerations etc.
Schematic and layout design of PCBs for automotive grade devices with focus on EMI/EMC, ESD compliance, automotive electrical and environmental standards, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity and other relevant requirements
Writing detailed and professional product, development and manufacturing documentation
Support and cooperation with other relevant teams and departments during their development phases (e.g. embedded software development).
Providing support to relevant departments during production of prototypes and series production
Developing series production devices including optimization for manufacturability and cost, both on hardware and system level
Defining and conducting functional tests, verification, validation, defining and supporting certification phase, in both in-house and external test facilities
Performing field tests on vehicles and in external laboratories
Debugging and fixing issues with devices in cooperation with other teams, both on bench and in vehicle
What are your core components
Three or more years of post-faculty experience with electronic hardware design
Experience with various digital and analog electronics like operational amplifiers and their variations for analog signal processing, analog switches, multiplexers, ADCs, DACs, linear and switching power supplies, power supply protections, MCU/CPUs, logical digital devices, communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN), etc.
Experience with designing multilayer PCBs (4+ layers)
Experience with design for EMC
Experience with impedance control and length matching
Ability to understand and localize potential noises and interference sources in schematics and PCBs, and finding solutions to minimize them
Basic understanding of the general automotive electrical architecture and the typical electrical devices inside of a car is desirable
Experience with the mechanical integration of PCBs in the enclosures and the ability to understand mechanical and thermal requirements
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, young and energetic team with other hardware, software, mechanical and system engineers
Proactive and result oriented attitude and will to help and teach others
Ability to react fast and create solutions

Salary range: €37 500 – €57 500 gross per year (depending on experience)
