Industrial Safety – “Safety That’s Always on the Lookout”
Accidental gas leaks pose a huge threat to properties, environment and human life. Therefore, Honeywell manufactures a full and comprehensive range of gas detection products dedicated to all types of industrial facilities, from smaller boiler rooms to large petrochemical plants and oil refineries.
Honeywell’s wide range of technologies and devices – gas detectors, flame detectors, natural gas alarms – provide exceptional protection at every level, ensuring the most favorable coverage, detection, hazard mitigation and life protection.
We are seeking a skilled Embedded / FPGA Engineer dedicated to developing advanced embedded, FPGA-enabled signal acquisition and control systems for safety-critical gas and flame detection products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system design, FPGA-based data acquisition and signal-processing implementation, laser driver development, and a good working knowledge of laser spectroscopy principles, while adhering to functional safety requirements and relevant standards such as IEC 61508 Safety Integrity Level 2 and EN 60079-29-1.
Develop and validate FPGA-based interfaces and processing blocks for high-speed sensor data capture, timing control, filtering, co-adding, and real-time signal-processing workflows.
Support laser driver development activities including current/temperature control interfaces, modulation control, protection features, calibration support, and lab validation for optical sensing platforms. Collaborate with optical and spectroscopy teams to translate laser spectroscopy requirements into embedded firmware, FPGA logic, control algorithms, diagnostic utilities, and test automation.
QUALIFICATION: A Masters degree or Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering with 0 to 3 years of experience with inclination towards Embedded System design and control systems
