smartdept. is searching for an Email Marketing Designer for a print and specialty films distribution industry client located in Tulsa, OK (remote flexibility available). The ideal candidate will come with 3+ years of experience in email marketing design and production. This is a part-time, project-based, fully remote, ongoing contract opportunity.
This role will support the internal marketing team in developing product-focused email campaigns. The team provides product direction and key messaging points, and the designer will translate that into polished, conversion-focused email built in Figma and assembled in Klaviyo.
Design approximately 15–20 marketing emails per month
Build layouts in Figma based on product direction and bullet points
Assemble and format emails within Klaviyo
Refresh and adapt copy from existing product materials
Ensure strong visual hierarchy, brand consistency, and conversion-focused layouts
Collaborate directly with the marketing lead for creative direction
Support light A/B testing initiatives to optimize engagement
What You’ll Need:
Strong experience designing marketing emails in Figma
Hands-on experience building and deploying emails in Klaviyo
Understanding of email marketing best practices (CTAs, mobile responsiveness, hierarchy, deliverability considerations)
Ability to take simple guidance (product + bullets) and turn it into compelling email creative
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Experience:
3–5 years of email marketing design experience required
Experience working in product-driven or B2B environments preferred
Marketing mindset beyond production design
Experience with A/B testing and performance optimization
Basic copy adaptation or light copywriting experience
Familiarity with ecommerce or product marketing environments
