About the Team

Our Insurance and Asset & Wealth Management (I&AWM) practice works with leading insurers and asset managers to help them navigate a complex and evolving business environment. We bringexpertiseacross regulatory advisory, risk and control advisory, sustainability advisory, and internal audit to help our clients manage risk, meet stakeholder expectations, and deliver sustainable growth.

We work across the full breadth of the I&AWM sectors,providingpractical advice and delivering innovative solutions that make a tangible difference to regulators, customers, and investors. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects alongside specialists from multiple disciplines.

WhatYou’llDo

In this role,you’llwork on a variety of client engagements, which may include:

Regulatory Advisory:Advising on prudential and conduct regulation, interpreting new rules, conducting board effectiveness reviews,supportingand reviewing the implementation of Consumer Duty, and supporting regulatory change projects.

Risk & Control Advisory:Designing and implementing risk management frameworks, assessing capital and liquidity, evaluating governance structures, and advising on financial reporting controls (e.g.SOx ICFR compliance,riskand control process optimisation).

Sustainability Advisory:Supporting clients with sustainability and ESG risk integration, reporting, and assurance to align with evolving regulatory and stakeholder expectations

Internal Audit:Delivering independent assurance and reviews of governance, risk management, and control environments,identifyingimprovements, and enhancing organisational resilience.

You will collaborate with clients and colleagues across our network to deliver high-quality outputs, manage multiple priorities, and help develop new propositions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver client-facing advisory engagements across the four core competency areas. Build andmaintainrelationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.

  • Support the management of workstreams, ensuring delivery to scope, budget, and timeline. Contribute to business development activities, including proposals and bids.

  • Apply problem-solving skills to design practical, commerciallyviablesolutions.

  • Support, coach, and develop junior team members. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, emerging risks, and regulatory change.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong communicationskills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage at all levels.

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: regulatory change, risk management, governance, internal controls, financial reporting controls, sustainability/ESG advisory, internal audit.

  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.

  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how complex organisationsoperate

  • Strong analytical, logic, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new challenges.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent) and/or accounting experience – an advantage, but not essential.

  • Knowledge of financial services sectors, ideally insurance and/or asset and wealth management.

  • Understanding ofSOx ICFR compliance requirements and controls best practice.

  • Experience in regulatory processes such as approvals, product governance, or customer outcome reviews.

  • Exposure to sustainability/ESG risk and reporting frameworks.
