About the role
TheFinancial Services teamwithin M&A Operationsisfast-growing and supportive, working on a wide range of client engagements. We often work on high profile deals with top tier firms across the deals cycle, from pre-deal diligence, synergy development and separation planning through Day 1 and on into implementation support. We routinely collaborate with PwC’s widersectorteam practice (Strategy consulting and Financial Due Diligence) as part of our go to market.
We comprise both career-consultants andindividuals with experience gained inindustry and actively seek diversity of experience in our new team members.
Key responsibilities
Pre-deal value creation advisory to identify and quantify full value potential for clients
Provide operational due diligence (buy/sell side), assessing operating models, risks, and opportunities
Identify and evaluate transaction synergies and assess delivery plans
Support divestments, ensuring carved-out entities are operational from day one
Assist with 100-day planning and stabilisation of newly acquired entities, driving early wins
Support integration to realise pre-deal value, mitigate risk, and combine organisations effectively; contribute through analysis, workstream delivery/leadership, and stakeholder communication
Essential skills & qualifications
Must be fully ACA qualified including completion of all exams and practical experience requirements. (or international equivalent)
Desirable to possess other relevant professional qualification, such as the CFA (or international equivalent), or to have equivalent work experience.
Strong understanding of financial services operating models across insurance, AWM, banking, payments, lending, and fintech
Ability to assess operational and financial performance, identifying improvement opportunities using limited data
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, structuring complex issues into clear, actionable solutions
Excellent stakeholder management, with effective communication and engagement at senior levels
