Purpose of the Role:

As a Commissioning Lead, you will take ownership of the commissioning phase of high-voltage substation projects (110–400 kV) across Finland.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with on-site coordination.

You will be involved already before site execution – planning commissioning activities, preparing schedules, and ensuring readiness. Once on site, you will lead the commissioning work, coordinate teams, and ensure that the substation is delivered safely, on time, and without outstanding issues.

You will work across projects such as:

• Wind and solar farms
• Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Data centers

What you will do

• Plan and prepare commissioning activities before site execution
• Lead and coordinate commissioning work on site
• Ensure all systems are tested and ready for energisation
• Participate hands-on in testing when needed
• Work with protection systems, RTU and relay configurations
• Inspect, document, and report commissioning results to the client
• Act as the lead expert on site, supporting the wider project team

What we are looking for

• Degree in electrical engineering or similar
• Strong experience in substation commissioning or high-voltage testing
• Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and procedures
• Ability to lead work on site and take responsibility for delivery
• Willingness to travel across Finland

Nice to have:

• Experience with 110 kV GIS or 400 kV substations
• Relay configuration experience
• Experience from transmission grid projects (e.g. Fingrid)
• Experience with Omicron testing equipment
