OUR SCHOOL:

Reddam House Waterfall is a co-educational and non-denominational environment designed to recognise, nurture and develop the individuality of each student placed in our care and to extend students to their maximum potential in all aspects of education

Our teachers understand the need not only for the importance of teaching the required curriculum, but also for forming a relationship with your child, a relationship that is built on trust and mutual respect. The school’s architecture is perfectly suited to the rustic environment it finds itself in, with wood and stone-clad walls. The tranquil setting provides an atmosphere that is conducive to discovery and learning. Phase 1 of the Preparatory and Secondary School was opened in 2012 with 600 students and, with community confidence, the student body grew to more than 1000 students in 2013 and has continued to grow each subsequent year

The school is designed ultimately to accommodate 2000 students. A caring, close-knit Reddam House community welcomes children from 1 year old to Grade 12. We nurture individuality, talent and self-assurance in a secure, relaxed and self-disciplined environment. Catering for Stage 1 to Grade 12 students, affiliated to the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) – and offering a diverse, stimulating subject choice – highly qualified, dynamic, experienced teachers are the custodians of your child’s future.

Reddam House Waterfall is seeking a dedicated and experienced Aftercare Supervisor & Coordinator to lead Adventure Zone, our structured aftercare programme within the Early Learning School. This is a key role responsible for the safe, purposeful, and well-organised care of children during the afternoon hours and in holiday club.

Adventure Zone provides a safe and stimulating environment for children, offering planned activity programmes, holiday club, and special visits from children's theatre groups and puppet shows. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the programme, lead a team of aftercare staff, and maintain trusted relationships with parents and the wider school community

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing the smooth daily running of Adventure Zone
  • Leading, rostering, and supporting a large team of aftercare staff
  • Designing and implementing engaging activity programmes and holiday club
  • Coordinating visits from children's theatres, puppet shows, and special guests
  • Maintaining accurate attendance and billing records in liaison with the PA to the Head
  • Documenting and reporting parent concerns to the Principal
  • Upholding and actively modelling the school's safeguarding standards at all times
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for parents during aftercare hours

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Experience working with young children in an aftercare, Early Childhood, or care setting
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with the capacity to remain calm under pressure and earn the trust of both children and adults
  • Valid first aid certification, or willingness to obtain this prior to commencement
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to bring ideas to life in a structured and creative way
  • A firm commitment to safeguarding as both a professional and personal responsibility
  • Clear and professional communication skills across all stakeholder groups, including parents, staff, and school leadership
  • Competence in basic administration and computer literacy
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy, people-centered environment

SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT:

Inspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practices and pre-employment background checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.
