Job Description

PRIVATE EDUCATOR | WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA- A highly intellectual and loving family is seeking a visionary Private Educator to partner with them in shaping the continued academic, social, and emotional development of their young child. They are raising a responsible, independent, kind-hearted learner who challenges assumptions, asks questions, and thinks critically. They are looking for a dedicated educator to serve as both architect and guide—cultivating grit, resilience, curiosity, and joy through a Montessori- and International Baccalaureate-inspired curriculum tailored to their child’s evolving needs. In this role, you will have complete curricular authority. You will design, implement, and deliver a world-class academic program that not only meets but exceeds international standards. From lesson planning and curriculum development to measurable outcomes and daily enrichment, you will be responsible for the child’s holistic academic growth. The family seeks someone who can lead with vision, partner with purpose, and collaborate seamlessly with parents, homeschool networks, and like-minded educators. Learning will take place at home, during travel, and in dynamic contexts—requiring adaptability, creativity, and innovation.

The ideal candidate is an experienced academic leader who views teaching as sacred work, with humility at the core of their practice. They will bring 10+ years of proven teaching experience, a Master’s degree in Education, Child Development, or an academic specialty, and a strong background in curriculum design and implementation. Montessori (AMI or AMS) certification and IB training (PYP) are strongly preferred. Prior experience working within private families—as a nanny, governess, or private educator—is essential. The right fit will also bring a forward-thinking, tech-savvy mindset (AI and educational technology enthusiasm welcomed), balanced with a grounded, heart-centered approach to children and nature.

This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact by creating and delivering an uncompromising educational experience for one child while working in close partnership with thoughtful, hands-on parents who view their educator as an extension of their family. The family seeks someone with the highest professional standards, emotional intelligence, and the ability to consistently deliver excellence.

TO APPLY Please submit your resume, a multi-year curriculum framework, two advanced lesson plans, an educational philosophy statement (500 words max), a portfolio of documented student achievements, and three references from prior family or educational leadership positions.
