WhatYou’llDo:
Serve as a patient advocate, meetingwith patients in-personatbedside, to assesseligibility forfinancialassistanceprograms
Engage patients via phone outreachtofacilitatetheircooperation andsupport the completion of required screenings and documentation.
Guide patients through complexapplication processesfor programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and hospital charity care, ensuring timelysubmission ofaccuratedocumentation.
Collaborateand build relationshipsacrossteams, actingas aliaisonbetween patients, hospital staff, and government agencies tosecure coverageand resolveeligibilityissues.
Manage a high case load effectively,prioritizing tasks, following up on pending applications, and meetingdeadlineswhile also adhering to productivity and quality expectations(KPIs)
Communicate with clarity and empathy, explainingfinancialresponsibilities andassistanceoptions in ways that patients can understand.
Maintainaccurateand confidentialrecords, ensuringcompliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Use multiple systems and toolsto document , track, andreport onpatientinformation
Support operationalneeds, including providing limited staffing coverage at nearby hospital locations as needed.
Complete special projects, as assigned.
WhatWe’reLookingFor:
High school diploma or GED
Proficiencyin Englishand Spanish
1+yearsof experience in a customer-facing role( financial counseling,healthcare, social services, or similar environments preferred)
Basic knowledge of state and federalassistanceprogramssuch as Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security Disability.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multipleprioritiesand maintainaccuracy andattention to detail.
Techsavvywithabilitytoefficiently manage and navigate multiple software systems, applications, and platforms simultaneously.
Ability to explain complex informationclearly and empathetically
Comfort working in fast-paced environmentswith changing priorities
Genuinecarefor patients’ needs and concernswith ability toestablisha rapport with patients through empathetic communication
Dependable,solution-orientedprofessional, who collaborates effectivelywith patients, hospital partners, and internal teams and colleagues
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Occasional local travel may berequiredbased on operational needs.
