About the Programme:
The Elevate - Future Engineers Programme is a unique opportunity for ambitious school leavers to begin a professional engineering career while earning a salary and studying towards a Level 7 Engineering Degree through TU Dublin.
Over five years, you'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers on live projects while developing the technical, practical, and professional skills needed to become a successful engineer. This structured programme combines workplace learning with academic study, providing a clear pathway towards a long-term engineering career and future Chartered Engineer status.
Responsibilities
Throughout the programme, you will:
Support the design and delivery of engineering projects across a range of sectors.
Learn to use industry-standard engineering software and digital tools.
Attend project meetings and gain exposure to client interactions.
Participate in site visits to observe construction, commissioning, and project delivery activities.
Work closely with mentors and experienced engineers who will support your development.
Complete assignments and assessments as part of your academic studies.
Build professional skills including communication, teamwork, organisation, and problem-solving.
Progress through increasingly challenging responsibilities as your knowledge and experience grow.
Learning & Development
Alongside your project work, you will attend TU Dublin on a day-release basis as part of your Level 7 Engineering Degree pathway. You will follow a structured development programme that combines academic study, workplace learning, technical training, mentoring, and career planning.
You will also build a portfolio of engineering experience to support your professional development and future progression towards Chartered Engineer status. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will have the opportunity to progress into an Engineering role and continue your long-term career development within Ethos Engineering.
About you:
We are seeking motivated individuals who are curious about how things work and are excited by the prospect of building a career in engineering.
You do not need previous engineering work experience. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate potential, commitment, and a willingness to learn.
Successful candidates will typically demonstrate:
Strong numeracy, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and resilience when facing challenges.
An interest in engineering through school projects, STEM activities, coding, design, building, or other technical pursuits.
Any work experience, extracurricular activities, or achievements that demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and initiative.
Essential Requirements
Leaving Certificate with passes in Mathematics, English or Irish, and three additional subjects.
Ability to attend both the Dublin office and TU Dublin as required.
Commitment to completing a five-year work-and-study programme.
