What You’ll Do
- Consistently embody the mission and core values of Atlas Schools
- Participate in and support instructional activities in small groups of students by reviewing and reinforcing reading skills
- Provide classroom support for the lead teacher by supporting individual students’ activities and assignments during in-class instruction
- Tutor and provide assistance and instruction using the English language
- Provide in-class and pull-out support to students receiving CLDE/ELL services
- Complete various clerical duties and computer-based tasks as needed/necessary
- Assist in preparing instructional material and learning displays, correcting and grading student work, monitoring groups of students, and reporting progress to teachers
- Collaborate with colleagues and actively participate in professional development and learning opportunities
- Translate meetings and communication into Spanish as needed
- Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Provide support during dismissal, arrival, recess and lunch periods as assigned
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly
/Non-Exempt
- $18.24 – $21.42 per hour
- Full Time; Monday – Friday; 35-40 hours per week

QualificationsWho You Are
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass required background screening pursuant to CRS § 22-30.5-110.7
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer programs to include Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.
- Possess and demonstrate basic math, writing, and communication skills
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Must display patience, empathy, and the ability to work well with diverse populations

- Bilingual; Spanish & English
- Prior paraprofessional experience within an urban classroom setting
- Demonstrated evidence of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player

Essential Job Functions
- Prolonged periods of standing and sitting
- Must be able to fulfill all de-escalation techniques as indicated within the Crisis Prevention Institute guidelines
- Must be able to reach, stoop, kneel, push, and pull
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
- Must be able to successfully abide by all policies and procedures of Atlas Schools
