The Position
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Curriculum, Assessment & Grants or designee, the MTSS Intervention Educator will have the following job requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess a Masters Degree in Literacy or Reading from an accredited university. The candidate must have strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, combined with proficiency in technology, knowledge of public school operations, the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships, manage multiple priorities, and work flexible and evening hours as required. GISD is an NCA-AdvancED accredited intermediate school district. Our mission describes a commitment to providing high quality programs and services, and includes standards that guide GISD's continuous improvement efforts.
GISD serves a region with nearly 66,000 students and 8,500 educators. Its primary service area consists of the 21 public school districts and 15 public school academies (charter schools) in Genesee County, Michigan. Other services extend to Lapeer, Shiawassee, and surrounding counties.
