The department supports a wide range of services, including diagnostic catheterizations, coronary interventions, and complex structural heart procedures such as TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), MitraClip implantation, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and loop recorder implantations. Most procedures are performed under moderate sedation, with full anesthesia support and resources dedicated to both routine and advanced cases.
On average, each Cath lab manages approximately seven cases per day. Electrophysiology (EP) services are delivered through four dedicated labs, performing about four to five cases per lab daily and include advanced mapping and ablation.
The department is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of approximately 80 professionals, including Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists, Registered Nurses (RNs), EP Specialists, and essential support staff. Our team benefits from extensive cross-training opportunities, allowing staff to develop proficiency in across roles, as well as across different departmental functions.
