Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Schaumburg & Oak Park, IL | Monday–Friday | No Call | New Graduates Welcome

Chicago Cardiology Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Electrophysiology (EP) team serving the Schaumburg and Oak Park communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cardiovascular APP or a new graduate with a strong cardiac background and interest in electrophysiology to build specialized expertise in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders.

You'll work alongside an experienced cardiology team in a collaborative environment with the opportunity to develop your EP knowledge while maintaining a predictable Monday–Friday schedule with no call responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular and electrophysiology conditions
  • Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits
  • Participate in the ongoing management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other cardiovascular conditions
  • Review diagnostic testing and clinical data to support patient treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other members of the cardiovascular care team
  • Educate patients regarding their diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and cardiovascular health
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Develop expertise in electrophysiology within a supportive cardiology practice

Who We're Looking For

  • Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active, unencumbered Illinois NP or PA license, or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Previous electrophysiology or cardiology experience as an APP or Registered Nurse is preferred
  • New graduates with a strong cardiac, CVICU, telemetry, electrophysiology, or cardiovascular background are encouraged to apply
  • Strong interest in developing a career in electrophysiology
  • Patient-focused with a commitment to quality and patient satisfaction
  • Collaborative, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a team
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
