With a strong pipeline of projects across Western Australia, we are currently seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team in Rivervale, WA. This workshop-based role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of electronics, communications and rail signalling equipment, supporting both repair and manufacturing activities for critical transport infrastructure.
About the RoleReporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing and assembling a wide range of electronics, communications and rail signalling equipment. The role is primarily based at our Rivervale workshop, with occasional travel to Perth metropolitan locations and project sites as required.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and diagnose faults on electronic, communication and rail signalling equipment.Interpret schematics, technical drawings and parts lists.Conduct testing activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).Perform precision wiring, terminations, soldering and PCB work.Disassemble, clean, repair and reassemble electromechanical components.Assist with materials management and workshop operations.Prepare service records, reports and repair documentation.Support quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives. About YouWe're looking for a motivated technician who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively and delivering quality outcomes.You will ideally bring:· Electrical Licence, and/or Certificate III in Electronics and Communications, and/or Certificate IV in Rail Signalling, or a related qualification.Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial electronics servicing, repairs and fault-finding to component level.Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and safe work practices.Mechanical disassembly and reassembly experience.Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends when required. Highly RegardedExperience with rail signalling systems.Instrumentation and control systems experience.PLC, SCADA or industrial automation experience.Field service and onsite troubleshooting experience.Forklift Licence, RIW Card, White Card or First Aid qualification.
