
ERS is a specialty disaster recovery company focused on restoration of machinery, electronics, appliances, musical instruments, and other specialty items after fire, water, mold, and other losses occur.
We are seeking a full-time electronics restoration technician. This person will be responsible to work with our team of technicians to conduct testing, disassembly, restoration (training provided), reassemble, and troubleshoot the items mentioned above.
This position works primarily in our shop, but sometimes can take place in all kinds of environments after losses occur. Many times the loss sites are hot and without power.
The ideal candidate will be an individual who loves to tinker with electronics/computers. This individual should demonstrate a team spirit, positive attitude, wise judgment, flexibility and patience with regard to fast changes in job demands. This person must execute tasks quickly and correctly as most jobs are time-sensitive, while demonstrating empathy as they work with customers in their most difficult moments.
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
--Speak clear English (second language is a plus!)
--Be flexible with last-minute changes to schedule/job priority
--Have experience working on/troubleshooting electronics and appliances
--Pass a criminal background and drug screen
--Have a working knowledge of home appliance installation and home theater components/installation
--Be willing to travel for short periods (up to a week at a time) up to 20% of the time
--Be a team player
The electronics technician may be called upon to assist operations in the field during packouts/delivery. This includes, but is not limited to: driving a company vehicle, digital inventory of items, detaching, packing, and assisting with transport to/from our shop, as well as on-site restoration work of items.
Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm, but some jobs may require the team ember to be flexible and stay late to complete before leaving for the day.
Compensation: $14 - $20 per hour, depending on experience level.
