The general role for the Electronics Technician is to work with engineering - recommend changes in design and manufacturing procedures and to identify the source of the technical problem and suggest solution. It shall be noted that LIN SCAN has Subsidiaries around the world and although the Electronics Technician reports to the Electronics Supervisor, the responsibility of the Electronics Technician is to ensure that all tasks and projects related to his local subsidiary are executed according to the plan, corporate standards and policy approved by the Corporate Office.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

• To follow written and/or verbal instructions assemble products to schematics and/or design specifications using a variety of Testing equipment, hand tools including some precision soldering techniques
• To test, troubleshoot and repair completed products and field returns as required.
• To assemble experimental circuitry or complete prototype model according to design, engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components
• To operate drills, or other machine tools to fabricate parts, such as coils or other electronics section’s related parts
• To enter daily report in to ERP
• Mold Crab, Flap, Connectors, etc.
• Maintain work areas in a neat and tidy manner in line with HSE standards,
• To conduct pressure testing
• To execute all other tasks as requested by TM/Production Manager or by the immediate Supervisor within the assigned job role.

Skills/Experience:

• ITI/Diploma/ Degree education in Electronics
• 0-5 years of work experience
• Basic knowledge and experience in electronic instrumentation and measurements
• Attention to detail, quality focus
• Good experience of soldering, calibration and testing on electronic PCBs & equipment
• Stress resistant
• Good verbal communication skills (in English – desirable)
• Creative, critical and curious

Accountability

• Soldering and Preparation of External and Internal Electronics
• Winding of Coils, Preparation of Tool Accessories
• Testing of soft wares and hardware
• Molding using MS1000
• Pressure test of External Electronics and Containers
• Final Check on Tools
• Calibration of Tools
• Testing of incoming PCBs
• Preparation for R&D and Internal Projects.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
• Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
• Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
• Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
• Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.

Inspection Technologies

Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL): Detects and sizes general corrosion and metal loss anomalies, especially circumferentially oriented.

Transverse Field Inspection (TFI): Detects and sizes general corrosion and metal loss anomalies, primarily axially oriented.
