Polaroid is an iconic brand rebuilt by a small, hands-on team shipping real products. We design, prototype, and manufacture hardware that connects creativity, engineering, and storytelling. Our team moves fast, works together across disciplines, and takes pride in building things that actually ship.

We’re looking for an experienced electronics engineer to own the hardware for Polaroid’s next generation of cameras and creative tools. You’ll take designs from concept to mass production, guiding architecture, validation, and factory builds with a small, high-skilled senior team. This role suits someone who thrives in an environment where one engineer can influence the full system, and who enjoys being close to both design and production to make a real impact.

What you will do:

• Define and integrate system architecture across SoC(MCU), DDR, Flash, power, sensing, actuation, storage, and wireless.

• Lead schematic design and guide PCB layout for high-speed, multi-layer, impedance-controlled boards.

• Bring up, validate, and test hardware through EVT, DVT, and PVT, including EMC and reliability work.

• Build test fixtures, debug issues, and collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams.

• Work directly with EMS partners on DFM, DFT, yield improvements. BOM optimization and 2nd-source qualification.

• Balance performance, reliability, and cost to get the best product on the line.

What you have done:

• Shipped at least two consumer electronics products to high-volume production.

• Designed both analog and digital circuits, from power to high-speed interfaces.

• Worked confidently in Altium and led multi-layer layout reviews.

• Debugged complex hardware using scopes, logic analyzers, and test fixtures.

• Supported factory builds in Asia and understand how NPI actually works.

Nice to have:

• Experience with BLE, Wi-Fi, USB-C, or Power Delivery.

• Work with imaging systems or electro-mechanical assemblies.

• Python or similar for test automation.

• Exposure to safety and regulatory certification.
