Are you an experienced Electronics Design Engineer with practical experience in high-speed digital circuits and interfaces, RF integration, and EMC/debug measurements? Would you like to work with the newest technology in an evolving environment?
Then join us as our new Electronics Engineer in the R&D Hardware Engineering team at the Jabra Video Design Center, where we develop high-quality video and audio devices.
Welcome to GN – home of Jabra
At GN HQ in Ballerup, you will join the R&D Hardware Engineering team alongside colleagues in Denmark, China and the U.S. Together, we are responsible for the hardware design architectures behind our Video and Audio collaboration products. We work collaboratively to bring innovative meeting room solutions to life for the Jabra brand, making life look and sound better.
We are a professional and innovative team focused on delivering high-quality products with exciting user functionality. By working closely across disciplines and with external partners, we bring products to market faster without compromising on quality.
High-quality audio and video products
As our new Electronics Engineer, you will take part in developing hardware architecture and requirements across digital Video designs and RF modules, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology, facilitating integration into final products. Your RF knowledge will also be valuable when addressing regulatory and hardware integration challenges, such as EMC debugging.
You will typically contribute from early concept development through to product launch, working closely with internal teams and external integration partners to ensure designs meet the defined requirements.
You will also contribute with ideas for innovative hardware designs and help optimize workflows, coordination and design processes.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
Translate video product feature specifications into hardware requirements
Interact with silicon technology providers on specifications and requirements
Coordinate feasibility studies across relevant video product technologies and support maturation of GN reference designs
Develop video product designs with external development partners to facilitate full integration of GN-defined architectures and concepts
Debug design verification of prototypes including RF and EMC measurements
Contribute with initiatives to improve our technology, methodology and processes
Work with the newest technology – and room to play
At GN, you will have access to high-quality development tools, R&D laboratories, test facilities and the newest technologies. You will work closely within our skilled HW team and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, including software engineering and regulatory affairs certification specialists.
“We constantly strive to be the best in our field, challenge our knowledge and test the boundaries for technology – and we want you to do so too. Have an idea? Grab your manager and a cup of coffee – we’ll gladly hear you out,” says Jesper Crone, Director of Hardware Engineering.
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you have:
A relevant education, such as a BSc in electronics engineering or similar
Solid experience with product development as an electronics design engineer
Broad experience across digital, analogue, and RF circuit design, systems, measurement, and problem solving
Practical experience with regulatory standards, EMC and type approval of wireless systems
Effective collaboration skills
Proficiency in written and spoken English
As a person, you are motivated and creative. You bring new perspectives to design challenges and are comfortable navigating change and making decisions. You are able to lead projects from concept to completion while also contributing to smaller projects or technical studies alongside your main assignment.
Perhaps you have gained solid experience in just a few years, or perhaps you have already enjoyed a long career in electronics engineering. What matters most is deep technical knowledge and the ability to create results through collaboration.
At GN, we support flexible working whenever possible. We trust our people to manage their responsibilities, know when in-person collaboration adds value, and be present when it matters most.
We encourage you to apply
Even if you do not match every qualification, we welcome your application if you believe you bring relevant transferable skills. We value mindset and motivation alongside experience, and we are committed to supporting your growth as well as that of your team and the wider GN organization.
