This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX at Bell's Electronic Development Lab.
Avionics & Electrical
Bring your experience and ideas to develop Electronic Modules utilized in the control and monitoring of various systems on-board the aircraft. You'll work on circuit design, PC board layout, software design, verification and integration on Bell Helicopter products.
What you’ll be doing as an Avionics and Electrical Engineer
Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft
Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to test and troubleshoot avionics / electrical modules or systems
Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE software
Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software
Modify and maintain programmable logic designs in FPGAs and CPLDs
Prepare engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities
Prepare functional test documents to verify proper operation of electronic assemblies
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering or related field
Familiar with analog and digital circuit design
Software programing experience with C, Java, and/or Python, preferred
Design Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and Verilog or VHDL, preferred
Familiarity with the application of aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461) or similar industry standards, preferred
Knowledge of control systems and embedded processor design, preferred
You’ll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule
