About The Team

We are looking for an Electronics Component Engineer to manage and support the selection, qualification, and lifecycle of electronic components used in our Automotive products for our Division Chassis Solutions at our location of Shanghai, China.

What you can look forward to as Electronics Component Engineer:

  • Select, evaluate, and approve electronic components (active and passive) to meet design, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Define and support component qualification, testing, and validation activities.
  • Manage component lifecycle risks, including obsolescence, second sourcing, and supply continuity.
  • Support design teams with technical guidance, alternatives, and best-practice component usage.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and improve component performance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain component data, documentation, and standards within internal systems.
  • Work with Siemens EDM tools (or equivalent systems) to manage electronic component data, approvals, and lifecycle management.

Your Profile as Electronics Component Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or industry experience equivalent. Be fluent in English and Mandarin both orally and in written.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components (active and passive). Has experience with component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management. Has knowledge of electronic suppliers and supply chain.
  • Be familiar with Siemens EDM or similar component management tools. Has understanding of REACH and RoHS regulations. Has understanding of quality, reliability, and compliance requirements.
  • Desired Characteristics: Strong logical approach to problem solving. Encourages feedback from mentors and learns from it. Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility. With good communication skills to cooperate with team members.
