We are seeking seeking Defensive Aids Systems (DAS) Radar Engineers to support the development of advanced survivability and electronic warfare capabilities for the the next generation of combat aircraft. This role will focus on the integration of radar-based sensing technologies within the wider survivability architecture, supporting the delivery of capabilities that enhance threat awareness, platform survivability and mission effectiveness in highly contested operational environments.
This role offers an opportunity to influence future combat air capability through the development, integration and optimisation of advanced sensing architectures, supporting delivery across the full engineering lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Support development of DAS and survivability system requirements.
- Contribute to systems architecture and interface definition activities.
- Support integration of radar sensing capabilities within wider survivability solutions.
- Produce engineering artefacts and technical documentation.
- Support technical trade studies and performance assessments.
- Participate in integration, test and verification activities.
- Contribute to modelling, simulation and synthetic environment activities.
- Support design reviews and customer technical engagements.
- Work collaboratively with radar, mission systems and electronic warfare teams.
- Support continuous improvement and engineering excellence initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related STEM discipline.
- Applications are also welcomed from individuals with significant demonstrable experience who don’t hold formal qualifications.

Experience
- Experience delivering systems engineering activities within aerospace, defence or complex engineering environments.
- Experience working across requirements, architecture and verification activities.
- Sensor or radar system development experience.
- Electronic Warfare programmes.
- DAS or DASS architectures.
- Airborne survivability systems.
- Threat analysis environments.
- Combat air platforms.
- Military aviation.
- Integrated mission systems.

- Experience supporting digital engineering initiatives.
