We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Electro-Mechanical Development Engineer. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will work in Limerick, Pennsylvania.

About the position

As Electronic Technician/General Maintenance Mechanicof the Limerick team, you will be involved in maintaining equipment and machinery supporting production needs.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Plans and performs a wide variety of mechanical and electrical duties, (such as millwrights, electrical, mechanical, welding, plumbing, etc.) for the efficient and proper operation of the plant, equipment and machinery. Diagnoses, installs, repairs, rebuilds and maintains all standard and special mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery. Produce replacement parts and new parts to required tolerances in making any repairs as needed. Duties involve interpretation of instructions and specifications, such as planning, diagramming, programing and layout of work, shop computations relating to dimensions of work to be performed. Installs and maintains electrical secondary distribution center, balance loads, wire circuits and other equipment (such as generators, switches, electronic controls, etc. as required for the efficient operation of the plant).
  • Install, program and troubleshoot various PLC’s and maintain all documentation.
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot AC-DC drives and controllers.
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot voice and data communications lines.
  • Install and/or maintain heating, ventilation equipment compressors, chiller system, sprinkler system, etc. Performs various piping, welding, electrical, mechanical, millwright, carpentry, plumbing and other duties as required for the continued efficient and proper operation of the plant and equipment.
  • Service plant and equipment and machinery as necessary. Records pertinent information necessary. Reports any unusual conditions in the performance of his duties.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition as needed. Required to perform various other departmental duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

A suitable background would be a solid experience within maintenance in a manufacturing facility as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

  • 3-5 Years of Experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing facility
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • PLC programming experience is a plus
