YOUR TASKS
As Optomechatronics Specialist – Electronic Packaging Expert, you will develop and industrialize highly innovative lighting PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assy) systems with international partners in the Lighting division and ensure their reliability and system integration in global automotive series projects.

As Electronic Packaging Expert you will be responsible for developing and releasing electronic packaging technologies on PCBAs with special emphasis on soldering, contact and process technologies during the entire project lifetime from quotation throughout series production, having a clear understanding of system’s limitations and the impact to several domains such as Optics, Electronics, Thermal Management and Mechanical Design. Some of the activities that you need to perform as Electronic Packaging Expert are:

Release of new PCB and PCBA technologies.
Release of reliability for new electronic components for lighting division (LEDs, connectors, etc.)
Develop new projects along with interdisciplinary teams.
Release feasibility studies for internal and external PCBA production and support its industrialization.
Work closely with local/global PCB and PCBA suppliers and ensure the development of the right technologies considering specific customer needs.
Understands the PCB and PCBA market to choose the best technologies in regards of costs and quality.
Key player on root cause analysis when detecting failures in DV / PV stages.
Key player on reliability test proposals for revalidations in PCB, PCBA changes.
Steers DtC and Re-DtC activities for PCB technology with cross-domain teams
Supports series projects that are affected by PCNs/PDNs/PTNs, relocations, FA.
Member of Global EPE Expert Network and responsible for sharing know-how and specific trends in NSA region with your global team

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, photonics engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
+2 years of professional experience in the field of packaging technologies (SMT, electronic design, electronic testing, change management, PCBA failure analysis), ideally in the automotive sector - preferred.
Knowledge in the fields of electronics, PCBA production, PCB production, optics, thermal management, LED technology.
