DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Specialist will work as part of a small group of dynamic staff supporting the use of an EHR in a multidimensional agency with people at all levels of IT comfort and knowledge. Strong skills in analysis, critical thinking, and problem solving are paramount to success in this position, as is the ability to multitask and collaborate with others. The purpose of this position is to be the primary EHR support for the agency. Responsibilities will include password resets, communication and collaboration on form creation, general troubleshooting and support, and end user training.

Compensation: salary is determined by total years of relevant work experience

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using standard office productivity software tools
  • Self-starter and critical thinker with experience troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Organized and systematic approach to task management
  • Valid driver’s license/ acceptable driving record
  • Associate degree or 2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Web development and/or relational database experience (beneficial)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • *Provides primary support for the agency Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • *Manages support requests that come in from staff via email, tickets, and phone calls.
  • *Identifies and documents solutions to routine and non-routine requests and problems.
  • *Provides timely resolutions to EHR errors/issues.
  • *Provides initial and ongoing training to staff on the EHR system.
  • *Implements staff requirements for form creation.
  • *Logs and tracks support requests with the EHR vendor.
  • *Stays informed of changes to the EHR system via release notes, participation in the user community, and other vendor support resources.
  • *Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • *Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Is prompt and accurate in completing all required reports, statistics and other requirements.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
  • Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site.
