Job Description

STATEMENT OF POSITION

Under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient, Compliance and Quality, the Electronic Health Record Administrator is responsible for system maintenance, data security and compliance, technical support, staff training, workflow optimization, and reporting.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

•Oversee EHR system configuration, upgrades and functionality
•Ensure data accuracy, system security, and compliance with health care regulations
•Managing user access and auditing records
•Troubleshooting technical issues, software and hardware problems for users, serving as liaison with the EHR vendor
•Analyze data and workflows to improve efficiency in data entry and retrieval
•Generate reports on patient data, system performance, and quality metrics
•Verify Medicaid and commercial insurance information and maintain accurate payer data in the system
•Oversee nonmedical billing processes for employment services, Children's Services Act funding for TIP and FPSP, and MHSS contracts
•Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatic, Healthcare Administration or IT with healthcare preferred.
•Certification from AAPC or AHIMA, preferably Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM), Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDS), Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) preferred
•At least two years of experience working in a behavioral or primary health setting managing an EHR, Credible strongly preferred
•Attention to detail. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to be persistent yet tactful while gathering needed information
•Proficiency in database management, IT troubleshooting, Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel) required
•Knowledge of domain-specific language (SQL, CQL, GraphQL, etc) preferred
