Job Description

Join our Team as an Electromechanical Systems Engineer in Value Analysis/Value Engineering!

The Role:

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated VAVE Engineer who brings energy, a positive attitude, drive, and expertise to the table. In this role, you’ll work on improving product profitability and evaluating design improvements, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. We value innovative and creative ideas—yes, even during meetings (where snacks are always welcome). If you enjoy tackling challenges with positivity and a bit of humor, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Identify and propose design alternatives that reduce costs or improve performance and quality.
  • Develop and test redesigned components or systems to support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot existing product issues, perform root cause analysis, and modify designs to meet targets.
  • Analyze supplier capabilities and costs to discover opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary Systems Engineer within the VAVE team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, and product development teams.
  • Drive initiatives that directly influence product cost and organizational profitability.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in electrical component and systems design, or a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of electromechanical systems and industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) best practices.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Clear, confident communication skills—able to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Advanced degree or expertise in Electrical or Electromechanical Systems.
  • Hands-on experience in cost-reduction or VAVE projects.
  • Familiarity with lift trucks or mobile equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic control systems and hydraulics.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar project management tools.
  • Competitive benchmarking experience.

Where and When You’ll Work:

  • This is an in-person role located at our Greene, New York office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary - $73,800 - $94,600 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.

World Class Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Performance Bonus
  • Generous Paid Time Off and 13 Paid Holidays
  • Affordable Medical plans and no-cost Dental & Vision options
  • 100% 401(k) match up to 6%
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability
  • Tuition Assistance Program
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with access to mental health care, legal support, and financial guidance
  • Recognition and Kaizen (continuous improvement) Reward Programs
  • Meaningful opportunities for personal and professional development
  • Best in class work culture!
