This is a CBA position.
The Electro/Mech Tech III will:
Required Skills:
Able to read and interpret basic technical drawings and schematics of complex laboratory and facility systems.
Basic knowledge of the process of assembling and installing mechanical and electrical components.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
High School diploma or equivalent and 12 years of experience in related field.
Requires proficient knowledge of laboratory techniques, methods and equipment; applies advanced technical knowledge.
Able to operate and handle basic hand-held and/or power tools.
Must be a non-smoker to meet Class 10 Cleanroom requirements (Science Department only)
Able to comprehend basic technical terminology and communicate effectively with other employees and team members.
Able to visualize and solve practical problems.

Climbing and maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level.
Reaching for, handling, and manipulating objects and materials in all directions.
Coordinating eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
Seeing and hearing with or without correction.
Crawling and kneeling from 1 to 30 minutes at a time.
Requires Frequent:
Standing.
Lifting up to 40 pounds.
Carrying up to 40 pounds for 20 yards from ground level, from waist level and overhead (occasional).
Bending and crouching/squatting at waist from 1 to 30 minutes at a time.
Requires the ability to:
Follow set procedures and standards.
Apply basic mathematical skills.
Plan and work selecting proper tools.
Compare and understand differences in the size, shape, and form or lines, figures, and objects.
Follow written and oral directions, plans and blueprints.
Picture and evaluate solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked.
Recognize and report safety hazards
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
