Job Shift: DaySpring Glen Fresh Foods is currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician. This is a 1st Shift Position.
The Electro-Mechanical Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of production and packaging equipment. This position is responsible for installing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing systems. The technician ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
The duties listed below are representative of the types of responsibilities required for the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the organization:
• Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on advanced production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Conducts breakdown analysis to identify root causes and recommends long-term solutions.
• Assists with production line upgrades, including the installation and integration of new technologies.
• Executes line changeovers for product or packaging adjustments.
• Monitors and enforces compliance with GMP, safety protocols, and audit standards.
• Works independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment consistent with good housekeeping practices.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications
- • High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- • 2+ years’ experience in electrical systems, including starters, fuses, contacts, relays, and frequency drives.
- • Proven ability to read and interpret product manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
- • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- • Experience with compressors and ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
- • Proficiency with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) preferred.
- • Experience with pumps and packaging systems preferred.
- • Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
- • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
