Electro-Mechanical Quality Test Supervisor

Role Summary

The Electro-Mechanical Quality Test Supervisor leads the SIPANEL Final Test & Inspection team, ensuring protection, automation, and control panels meet safety, quality, technical, and customer requirements before shipment. This role drives daily testing operations, technician development, issue resolution, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Production, Engineering, Operations, and Quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of electro-mechanical test technicians.
  • Manage daily testing priorities, staffing, and schedule execution.
  • Ensure products are tested and documented in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Promote safe work practices and compliance with EHS and quality requirements.
  • Drive containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Monitor KPIs, documentation accuracy, and first-pass quality performance.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.
  • Maintain training, qualification, and cross-training programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement across testing, quality, and operational processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, testing, inspection, quality, or a related technical environment.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience overseeing technicians or production employees.
  • Experience using quality metrics, test data, or defect data to drive performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Experience enforcing safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical manufacturing, industrial control panels, switchgear, power distribution, or related products.
  • 3+ years of direct people-management experience.
  • Experience with final electrical testing, inspection, or Factory Acceptance Testing.
  • Knowledge of Hi-Pot, insulation resistance, continuity, and functional testing.
  • Experience with UL 508A, ISO 9001, calibration programs, or manufacturing quality systems.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, A3, RCA, CAPA, or 5-Why.
  • Experience with SAP, ERP/MES systems, Power BI, or electronic quality systems.

The pay range for this position is $56,335 - $96,574 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
