Position: Electro Mechanical Engineer
Stantec is a global engineering and consulting firm that provides innovative and sustainable solutions for a variety of industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electro Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electro mechanical systems and components for various projects. This includes conducting research, creating detailed plans, and overseeing the implementation and testing of these systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as experience working with a variety of equipment and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electro mechanical systems and components for various projects
- Conduct research and analysis to identify the most efficient and effective solutions
- Create detailed plans and specifications for the implementation of these systems
- Oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of electro mechanical systems
- Collaborate with other engineers and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the design, development, or implementation process
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporate new technologies into designs as needed
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety and regulatory standards
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and results to clients and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- Minimum of 10 years experience in electro mechanical engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical design principles and techniques
- Familiarity with a variety of equipment and technologies, such as PLCs, motors, and sensors
- Experience with CAD software and other design tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards
