This Electrician Trainee position with the Department of General Services, is an in-house apprenticeship program designed to build your skills in electrical work. You will learn to perform a variety of skilled duties relating to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, electrical distribution equipment, and electrical components under the direction of a licensed electrician. Work supports complex and critical systems across the Capitol Complex, Harrisburg Annex, and outlying Harrisburg buildings as well as the Reading Office Building and Scranton Office Building. This entry level position is a four-year in-house training program. During this time, you will work with and learn from licensed electricians and supervisors to advance your skills with electrical systems, components, and equipment.
